Acupuncture originated in China and other Far Eastern cultures. It is a non-invasive treatment. It balances the body’s systems through the application of fine needles to specific points. The most commonly used points are between the hand and elbow, and the knee and foot. Acupuncture regulates the energetics or 'qi' of the body.

It is part of mainstream healthcare, both as a stand-alone therapy and combined with conventional western medicine. Acupuncture is now widely used all over the world. In the UK more and more people are finding out what acupuncture can do for them.

Siân Morriss BSc (Hons) Lic Ac, MAAC

Siân is a Licensed Acupuncturist with a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine. She has been working as a therapist for over 10 years and attaches great importance to delivering the highest quality of care to her patients.

Siân comes from a background in academia, supporting medical researchers in internationally leading universities. She has also been guest lecturer at the University of Reading and is currently a Lecturer in Chinese Medicine at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine.

A member of the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians, Siân is committed to honing her skills through continuing professional development. She has post graduate training in fertility, gynaecology, pregnancy and stroke rehabilitation. Siân believes in an integrated approach to health which starts with helping her patients understand their condition. She says “when you understand the why, you’re better equipped to make choices that positively impact your health and well-being.”
